Using our services (including the YapTap mobile application, or any third-party platform that provides YapTap) (hereinafter referred to as “ YapTap ”) involves processing your information.

This Privacy Policy applies to YapTap and any service accessible through the YapTap platform, and states that this Privacy Policy applies to the use of that service (e.g., user live streaming, recharge, etc.). If you use YapTap to act on behalf of a company, partnership, association, government or other organization (your "Organization"), you agree to notify that person that we will collect personal information about individual owners, shareholders, directors, officers, managers, employees and other related persons of your Organization (collectively, "Related Persons") that we collect or provide to us from time to time, and you agree to obtain the consent of the Related Person so that we can process his/her personal information as required by applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. References to "you" or "your" in this Privacy Policy include you and any Related Person. What information do you need to provide to YapTap ?

This section describes the various types of personal information we collect from you and how we collect that information. If you would like more information about specific types of data and how we use them, please see the Privacy Policy section below.

YapTap processes different types of information and data. These categories are as follows:

1. When you visit YapTap , we will obtain your location information through your IP address, device, or Internet service to prevent your account from being logged in multiple times or fraudulently.

4. "Shared Information" refers to information about or related to you that you voluntarily share on YapTap . Shared Information may include content you post on YapTap (including personal data disclosure, lists you create, and photos, videos, or recordings accessed through your device's camera and/or microphone sensors with your prior consent), any content that you repost that has been posted by others, and location data and log data associated with such postings. Shared Information also includes information about you shared by other people who use YapTap (including location data and log data) .

YapTap , your facial data will be used to automatically detect and identify inappropriate content to ensure compliance with platform guidelines.

All references to “information” in this Privacy Policy include both personal information and non-personal information.

2.3 How do we use your information?

This section details the types of personal information we collect from you and why. For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), it also defines the legal basis on which we process your data:

YapTap Personal Data is necessary to perform our contract with you and provide the YapTap Services.

To open and log in to a user account on YapTap ; notify you of changes to YapTap ; facilitate communications; provide you with user support; enforce our terms, conditions, and policies; provide personalized help and guidance; better understand how you access and use YapTap ; develop new services and improve existing ones; provide language and location customization; protect any rights, property, or safety of us, our colleagues, or other YapTap users; and administer YapTap and for internal operational purposes, including problem solving, data analysis, testing, research, security, fraud detection, account management, and investigation purposes.

4. Shared Information - Profile Data. Any information you include in your publicly visible YapTap profile may include your profile ID, name, and photo. Legal Basis (EEA): Providing your YapTap Personal Data is necessary for us to perform our contract with you, provide your YapTap Personal Data , and provide the YapTap Services .

Purpose: To administer the YapTap platform in accordance with your instructions and requests ; to provide personalized help and guidance; to provide language and location customization; to develop new services and improve existing services; to better understand how you access and use YapTap ; to maintain your YapTap account in accordance with your instructions and requests .

5. Shared Information - Profile Media. This type of information includes all information you provide to other users through YapTap , including: Photos uploaded and edited profiles by YapTap users, Legal Basis (EEA) Providing your YapTap personal data is necessary to perform our contract with you and to provide YapTap services.

Purpose: To manage the YapTap platform; provide personalized help and guidance; provide language and location customization; develop new services and improve existing services; maintain your YapTap account; and better understand how you access and use YapTap .

6. Chat Data. The content of your communications with other users or groups of users. This data is stored on your device and on the devices of the users to whom you send communications. We do not store this information permanently on our servers, we simply transmit it through our servers and distribute it to the users to whom you choose to send communications. Legal Basis (EEA): Necessary for the performance of our contract with you for the provision of the YapTap Chat service.

Reason: To facilitate communication with other users.

7. Contact List. The contact list on your device. Legal Basis (EEA) It is necessary for us to collect this information in order to perform our contract with you, provide the YapTap Services and connect with your friends.

Why: Use the “Recommend a Friend” feature to connect with other YapTap users.

8. Log Data. See definition above. Legal Basis (EEA) It is in our legitimate interests to ensure the security of our services, manage registrations and improve our services.

Reason: To better understand how you access and use YapTap ; to administer YapTap ; for internal operational purposes, including problem solving, data analysis, testing, research, security, fraud detection, and account management.

9. Customer Service Information. Any information you provide to our customer service team. Legal Basis (EEA) This information is necessary to perform our contract with you and to provide and support the YapTap Services.

Reason: Investigating your issue.

10. Device Data. Media stored on your device. Legal Basis (EEA) Necessary for the performance of our contract with you to provide the YapTap Services.

YapTap facilitates the sharing of this media.

This information is necessary for the YapTap service contract.

Reason: If you choose to connect a third-party social media account to your YapTap account, we will process this information to facilitate your login to YapTap through your social media account . If you post content in Moments or Video Feed and choose to share it with a verified third-party social media account, YapTap will help you.

11. Surveys. If you decide to participate in a survey, we will ask you to provide some personal information. We may use service providers to conduct these surveys and will inform you before you complete the survey. Legal Basis (EEA): We will collect this information with your consent.

Reasons: To better understand how you access and use YapTap ; to provide personalized help and guidance; to develop new services and improve existing ones; to improve YapTap and respond to customer requests and preferences.

12. Pseudonymization and Aggregation Data. We will anonymize and aggregate certain personal information to improve our services. Legal Basis (EEA) It is in our legitimate interests to ensure the security of our services, manage registrations and improve our services.

Reasons: Analyze the functions or operations obtained and used in the application to improve the application experience; fraud detection and account security analysis; conduct user demographic analysis for multiple projects (for example, region, mobile phone model, operating system platform, system language and YapTap version) to better understand how our users use YapTap; conduct network and account traffic statistics on the content and services used by users to access third-party services through the YapTap Open Platform, so as to report basic analysis of how YapTap users use their services to third-party service providers.

We try our best to provide security measures for users' personal information to prevent illegal use, unauthorized access, disclosure, leakage, damage and loss of users' personal information. We will use all possible security measures within a reasonable security level to ensure information security. For example, we will use encryption technology (such as SSL), anonymization, encrypted storage and other means to protect your personal information; we will establish a reliable protection mechanism to prevent personal information from malicious attacks; we will establish an access control mechanism and abide by the principle of minimum access to ensure that only authorized personnel can access personal information; we will conduct training courses on security and personal information protection to enhance employees' understanding of personal information protection.

15. We may need to use the system permissions in your device (excluding permissions called by third parties) to collect relevant personal information. You can choose whether to authorize us to use the relevant permissions of your device. If you do not authorize us to use the relevant permissions, some services may be unavailable, but it will not affect your use of other functions.

Album and storage permissions

Once you agree to enable this permission, we will use the photo album reading and storage function on your device. This function will be used to upload text, images, videos and other content in your device, and can also cache the text, images, and video content generated during your use of YapTap services. Please be aware that we will not automatically read the storage content of your local photo album. We will only obtain the image/video data after you agree to enable this permission and actively select the corresponding image in the album. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned function will not work properly.

Microphone permissions

Once you agree to enable this permission, we will use the microphone function on your device and recognize the voice information you upload. This permission will be used to implement the voice input function and collect and recognize the voice information input during the implementation of the above function. If you refuse this authorization, the above function will not be available.

Message push permissions

Once you agree to enable this permission, we will push messages to you so that you can receive and understand our notifications in a timely manner. If you refuse this authorization, you will not be able to receive the messages we push to you.

Camera permissions

Once you agree to enable this permission, we will use the camera function on your device. This function will be used to take photos and record videos, and collect and identify the pictures and videos taken or recorded during the implementation of the above functions. If you refuse this authorization, the above functions will not be available.

Floating window permissions

In order to float the content of the " Party Room" on other content, we will apply for your floating window permission. If you refuse such authorization, the above functions will not be available.

Device Information Access Permissions

After you agree to enable this permission, in order to protect your account and login security, we will collect your corresponding device information for optimizing user experience, security checks, identifying whether it is a commonly used device, and device binding status. If you are an Android user, your refusal to grant this authorization will result in your inability to use this product and/or service normally. If you are an iOS user, you may not be able to directly refuse or close the above authorization due to the limitations of the iOS system, but for some device information (for example, IDFA information, which is subject to the actual situation updated from time to time by the iOS system policy), you can choose whether to authorize us to collect it. If we or our affiliates undergo internal reorganization, or we sell YapTap or any of its assets to a third party, the entity that subsequently operates YapTap may no longer be us. In this case, we will transfer your information accordingly so that you can continue to use the service;

Service Providers: Service providers who assist us in providing, improving, or promoting other products or features through our Services. Service providers include communications service providers that send text messages on our behalf, VoIP providers for access to traditional phone service card processing and verification, and translation service providers. We may also hire service providers in your area to help speed up the delivery of content to you through acceleration points and content delivery networks; and provide location and map data. Any third-party service provider (selected by us) that shares user information with us must provide the same or equivalent level of user information protection standards as described in this policy; and are prohibited from retaining, using, or disclosing your information (unless necessary to provide services to us);

A third party who acquires us or all or substantially all of our business. In the event that we sell or buy any business, enter into a merger, partnership, or sell some or all of our assets, we may disclose your information to the prospective buyer of that business. Please be aware that the content and information you enter into YapTap (for example, photos or information about your school or social activities) may reveal your sensitive personal information to others.

Before exchanging any personal information of a sensitive nature on YapTap , please consider whether doing so is appropriate.

YapTap , you consent to making such information available to those within your chosen control (e.g., to the audience you choose to view your posts or profile information).

2.6 How is your facial information used?

Third-party social media platforms are hosted by the relevant third parties. YapTap services are hosted by us. Third parties that provide third-party services may collect your information (including your personal information and log data) and set cookies on your computer or device to enable these features to work properly.

Your use of any third-party services (social media services or otherwise), including any personal information you provide to such third parties, and their collection and use of your personal information, is subject to the relevant third parties’ own terms of service and privacy policies.

However, please note that if you ask us not to share this information with a third party, you may no longer be able to use the corresponding service or function. We are not responsible for any information provided to you by any third party.

2.9 Age Limit

YapTap is not intended for use by minors . Parents/guardians (on behalf of the minor and himself) may not use YapTap registration for any purpose on behalf of the minor. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from minors under the age of 18 without the above consent.
